HerbieGives is dedicated to transforming the lives of student athletes in Hawai’i by providing them with the resources they need to succeed. Founded by NFL players and Kaua’i natives Nate and Nick Herbig, we understand the unique challenges young athletes face in our community. With limited opportunities and access to support, many students struggle to reach their full potential. That’s why we offer free, comprehensive programs designed to foster not just athletic excellence but also academic and personal growth.

From top-tier coaching and training camps to academic guidance and wellness initiatives, we focus on the holistic development of each athlete. At HerbieGives, our mission is to empower Hawai’i’s youth to thrive on and off the field, cultivating the discipline, resilience, and passion needed to achieve their goals. Through our work, we are building a foundation that will not only benefit today’s athletes but also inspire future generations to pursue their dreams.

Rooted in Family, Driven by Community

Nick and Nate grew up in a close-knit family in Kalaheo, Kaua’i, where life was a shared journey filled with collective celebrations of every achievement. This communal spirit is the foundation of HerbieGives, reflecting the values their family instilled in them—connection, investment in others, and giving back to the community that nurtured them.

From Vision to Reality: HerbieGives’ Journey

Brotherhood and Growth

Growing up with their cousins, the Herbig brothers were always outdoors, competing to sharpen their athletic skills. This sibling rivalry pushed both Nick and Nate to earn full scholarships for collegiate football, shaping their path forward.

Inspiration from Personal Experience

HerbieGives began as a project by Nick Herbig at the University of Wisconsin, inspired by his upbringing in Kaua’i. Aware of the limited opportunities for local youth, he envisioned a non-profit that could create meaningful opportunities for Kauai’s children.

The Beginning of HerbieGives

Alongside his brother Nate, Nick has grown HerbieGives into a platform dedicated to helping Kauai’s youth reach their potential. In 2023, they launched their first camps and plan to expand during the upcoming NFL offseason.
